Position Title Student Employment•Game Room Recreation Attendants Posting Number 08019 Position Number 08019 Student Job Category Student•Hourly Job Number of Vacancies 4 Job Description ECU Department of Student Life is currently seeking several Game Room Recreation Attendants. The Recreation attendant is a part-time position that will work with and support the functions of the Student Centers by providing services in the Gaming Lounge. Gaming Lounge Attendants must work a minimum of 12 hours per week including weekend shifts. All Gaming Lounge attendants work weekend shifts. The Recreation Attendants are expected to fulfill the following general roles and responsibilities:Administrator:
complete all necessary paperwork, forms, maintain logs and tasks as required, attend scheduled shifts, and know the staff manual protocolsCustomer Service:
acknowledging and greeting students, staff, faculty, and University guests. Know campus resources and departmental functions to work with faculty, staff, students, and guests of the University to connect each to the appropriate resources and assisting with navigating through campus. Keep supervisors informed. Help create a welcoming environmentTechnical Skill:
handle equipment, (I.e. gaming systems, billiards cues,) repairs, and set up gamesClerical Aid:
maintain records and logs, answer telephone calls, and relay messages to the appropriate contactProgramming:
Assist with recreation tournaments, leagues, gaming, summer camps, and special programs and eventsSecurity:
provide for the safety of patrons during events, enforce facility policies and capacity, deter theft, possess knowledge of emergency, evacuation, and lock down proceduresTeam Member:
attend all training sessions, support staff team and help when needed, and maintain positive communication with staff and all Student Life employeesUniversity Representative:
serve as a positive role model, serve the needs of students, staff, faculty, and University guests.
