The Production Installation Lead oversees safety, facility operations, installation planning, onsite leadership, and project closeout for BMP's production studio and offsite projects. This role helps maintain a safe, organized, and efficient working environment while leading installation and strike efforts for scenic elements, seasonal events, themed environments, and confidential client projects. The Production Installation Lead serves as a key point of contact, coordinating resources, schedules, budgets, documentation, communication, and onsite execution to help deliver high-quality entertainment, resort, and theme park experiences.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES SUMMARY

Leadership & Facility Operations Manage growth & development, scheduling, maximizing productivity, and assignments for your direct report - Safety & Technical Services Coordinator. Maintain a well-organized workspace and installation tooling area. Process and assign work orders that support facility and vehicle maintenance. Be fiscally aware and execute cost management strategies and labor optimization of projects in the Production Studio with an emphasis on the Installation of our operations. Installation & Cross-Department Collaboration Lead, motivate, and keep onsite teams focused, accountable, safe, and on tasks throughout installation and strike work. Serve as an active hands-on fabricator in-shop and onsite. Oversee assigned installation and strike projects from planning through execution, closeout, and manifest reconciliation. Collaborate across departments to define installation needs, schedules, milestones, material pull lists, labor requirements, and key deliverables. Collaborates with the Design team on assigned projects to develop assembly instructions for all fabricated elements. Coordinates labor, vehicles, equipment, and schedules based on budgeted hours and project constraints recommending internal or external talent as needed, while preparing tools, PPE, vehicles, materials, and equipment in advance to site work to reduce supply shortages and unnecessary onsite runs. Serve as the single point of contact for assigned installation work, attending or leading daily startup meetings, and providing consistent reporting to leadership and key stakeholders. Host installation kickoffs and closeouts to ensure project information is shared in a timely and organized manner. Partner with production teams to confirm installation and strike support requirements are identified, prepared, and completed. Collaborate with the assigned RI to support installation and strike projects. Partner across BMP teams to support seamless project execution and positive guest, client, and talent experiences. Communicate clearly with leadership regarding project status, safety updates, facility needs, and operational priorities. Maintain professional communication with producers, leadership, clients, and key stakeholders throughout installation, strike, and studio support work. Safety Coordination & Support Develop, implement, and reinforce safety protocols for studio operations, installation activations, and strike executions. Manage, investigate, and document safety incidents using BMP's safety management platform, JJ Keller. Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments to support compliance with OSHA, fire code, and BMP safety standards. Develops safety training curriculum and in partnership with your direct report you administer safety training for talent, including required training topics, emergency procedures, and safe work practices. Maintain PPE inventory for studio operations, installations, and field work.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Technical Requirements Construct, build and install sets, props and décor. Ability to travel to different work sites, including flights and overnight stays for extended durations. Must be flexible regarding your work schedule as project timeline commitments and installs may require longer work hours, weekends, or may occur late evening or early morning hours outside of normal business hours. Physical Requirements & General Expectations As needed, be able to climb ladders up to 12' tall. Operate or support the use of large equipment, such as forklifts, scissor lifts, vehicles up to 26 feet, and other tools or vehicles as needed. Lift materials up to 50 lbs. Consistently follow proper safety procedures and model safe work practices. Maintain confidentiality of all studio information, projects, and client materials. Hold a valid driver's license and have dependable transportation to and from the studio. Perform other duties as assigned, including scenic fabrication, carpentry, warehouse support, inventory tasks, and administrative responsibilities. Represent the BMP studio spirit with professionalism when interacting with internal and external partners.

QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of experience in entertainment operations, facilities management, technical production, scenic installation, themed environments, or related fields are required. Experience with scenic installation, strike, and themed environments required. Must be OSHA 30 certified. BMP will cover the cost and time of the training if needed. Must be able to operate forklift and varying high reaches. BMP will cover the cost and time of the recertification if needed. Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices (OSHA, fire codes, etc.). Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work first, second, or third shifts with occasional extended shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays as required by production schedules. Must be available to travel as needed and occasionally on short notice. Working computer knowledge, including Smartsheet, Microsoft Suite, and MaintainX, to stay informed, provide updates, manage meetings, and maintain project commitments. Excited to work in a highly creative and fast-paced environment. Self-directed, detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize tasks when given clearly defined goals and objectives.

COMPENSATION

Job Title:

$60,000- $75,000/yr commensurate with experience
