Job Overview Oktoberfest September 24-26th We are seeking energetic and vigilant Security/Safety/Usher personnel to uphold safety standards, manage access control, and deliver exceptional customer service at diverse venues and events. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work in dynamic environments where your proactive approach and attention to detail will make a real difference in maintaining secure and welcoming spaces. Duties Control access points using advanced access control systems, verifying identities and authorizations of visitors, staff, and contractors. Conduct regular patrols of the venue or facility to identify potential security risks or safety hazards. Respond swiftly to emergency situations by following established emergency response procedures, including first aid, CPR, AED operation, and fire safety protocols. Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or other noteworthy events for record-keeping and follow-up. Perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or supplies while adhering to safety guidelines. De-escalate conflicts using conflict management techniques, ensuring a safe environment for all attendees and staff. Qualifications Proven experience in security or law enforcement roles with knowledge of physical security practices Or special events. Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and Taser use is highly desirable. Familiarity with surveillance systems, CCTV operations, access control systems, and incident report writing. Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage conflict de-escalation effectively. Physical fitness to perform patrolling duties, including heavy lifting, standing and manual handling tasks. Knowledge of emergency response procedures related to fire safety, medical emergencies, and law enforcement protocols.
