This position requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a genuine appreciation for the game of golf. The ideal candidate will create a polished, professional environment that reflects the standards and reputation of the club. Key Responsibilities Deliver exceptional, personalized service to members and guests in a warm, professional, and attentive manner. Welcome guests, assist with check-in, and provide accurate information regarding tee times, course conditions, club amenities, and golf-related services. Maintain a sophisticated and organized golf shop environment, ensuring merchandise and displays are presented attractively and professionally. Operate the point-of-sale system accurately, including processing purchases, payments, returns, and member charges. Assist members with merchandise selection, sizing, product knowledge, and special orders while maintaining a service-oriented approach. Support the coordination and daily administration of tee times, golf outings, tournaments, and other club events. Maintain accurate inventory levels and assist with receiving, tagging, organizing, and merchandising golf shop products. Coordinate effectively with golf professionals, outside services, tournament staff, and other club departments to ensure a seamless member experience. Maintain a thorough understanding of club policies, golf shop procedures, course protocols, and current merchandise offerings. Monitor the golf shop and surrounding areas for cleanliness, presentation, and overall readiness throughout the day. Handle member and guest inquiries with discretion, professionalism, and a solutions-oriented mindset. Protect the confidentiality of member information and uphold the club's standards of service and conduct at all times. Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall success of the golf operation. Requirements Previous experience in a golf shop, country club, hospitality, retail, or customer-service environment preferred. Familiarity with the game of golf and general golf terminology strongly preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to provide gracious, high-touch customer service. Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail. Comfortable operating point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications. Ability to remain composed, professional, and personable in a fast-paced environment. Must possess a polished appearance and professional demeanor consistent with a private-club environment. Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a team. Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, early mornings, and occasional evenings.
