Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Assistant Manager for our gym facility, dedicated to delivering exceptional fitness experiences and operational excellence. In this pivotal role, you will lead daily gym operations, oversee staff, and ensure that members receive top-tier customer service. Your leadership will foster a motivating environment that promotes health, wellness, and community engagement. The ideal candidate is passionate about fitness management, possesses strong supervisory skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused setting. Duties Supervise daily gym operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of all activities Lead, motivate, and manage a team of fitness instructors, front desk staff, and maintenance personnel Oversee shift management to guarantee optimal coverage during peak hours and special events Deliver outstanding guest services by addressing member inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and enhancing overall satisfaction Manage event planning and execution for fitness classes, workshops, and special club events to boost member engagement Maintain operational standards by monitoring cleanliness, safety protocols, and equipment functionality Prepare detailed reports on membership trends, operational performance, and staff productivity using Microsoft Office tools Assist with budgeting, cash handling, and inventory control to ensure financial accuracy and accountability Implement management decisions related to staffing schedules, customer service improvements, and operational procedures Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations through first aid/CPR readiness and safety training initiatives Experience Proven assistant manager experience within a gym or fitness club environment with a focus on hospitality or resort settings Extensive nightclub experience or event venue management background is highly desirable Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising teams in fast-paced environments Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for report writing and data analysis Experience managing budgets, cash handling procedures, and operational logistics Skilled in staff supervision, team management, and effective managerial communication Knowledge of event management processes including planning, coordination, and execution of large-scale activities Familiarity with operational management systems specific to fitness or hospitality industries Certifications in first aid/CPR are preferred; additional qualifications in hospitality or resort management are advantageous Join us to lead an energetic team committed to creating memorable fitness experiences while driving operational success.
