Job Description
Project Manager - Pool Construction (Volusia County) The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing residential swimming pool construction projects in Volusia county from permit approval through final completion. This role coordinates field operations, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and customers to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the construction process, providing regular communication and exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities Manage multiple pool construction projects simultaneously from start to finish Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones are met Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, suppliers, inspections, and equipment deliveries Conduct regular job site visits to monitor progress, quality, safety, and compliance with company standards Identify and resolve construction issues, scheduling conflicts, and customer concerns promptly Review project plans, specifications, permits, and contracts to ensure accurate execution Communicate project updates, timelines, and expectations with homeowners and stakeholders Maintain detailed project documentation, including daily logs, change orders, inspections, and completion reports Ensure compliance with local building codes, OSHA regulations, and company safety policies Coordinate final inspections, customer walkthroughs, punch lists, and project closeout Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, subcontractors, inspectors, and suppliers Collaborate with the sales, design, permitting, and service departments to ensure a seamless customer experience Qualifications 3 - 5+ years of project management experience in construction (pool construction experience preferred) Strong knowledge of residential construction practices and scheduling Experience managing subcontractors and multiple concurrent projects Excellent communication, customer service, and conflict resolution skills Strong organizational and time management abilities Ability to read construction plans and blueprints Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Preferred Qualifications Experience in swimming pool construction Knowledge of excavation, plumbing, steel, electrical, shotcrete, decking, and pool equipment installation Familiarity with permitting and municipal inspection processes Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Required Skills Leadership and team coordination Project scheduling Problem-solving and decision-making Customer relationship management Attention to detail Time management Quality control Safety awareness Physical Requirements Ability to travel daily between job sites in Orange County and Lake County Ability to walk uneven terrain and construction sites Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
