Job Title:
Pool Training Manager (PTM) Reports to: Wet Assistant General Manager (AGM) or General Manager (GM)
FLSA Status:
Full-Time, Non-Exempt Summary:
Oversees the quality and success of Goldfish Swim School's training process including oversight of the Golden Teachers, the school's Golden Learner program, and supervision of the school's pool area cleanliness. Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Must work directly with customers for a minimum of 20 hours per week across shifts such as Swim Instructor (SI), Lifeguard (LG), Deck Supervisor (DS), and Front Desk (FD). Assist in leading the Monthly In-Services and In-Water Workshops. Manage and oversee the Golden Team process, including promotion and training of new Golden Team members and supervision of the Golden Team members. This includes holding team members accountable to lesson quality and attendance expectations and potentially demoting Golden Team members who fail to meet expectations. Host New Hire Workshops and Orientation at least twice per month. Oversee and ensure effective Mini, Pro, Golden Team, and/or Golden Learner workshops are conducted regularly. Oversee and supervise the Cleaning Shift and identify areas for school cleanliness improvements. Oversee the Golden Learner process including communication with families about our Golden Learner process. Conduct Golden Learner trial lessons, and identify whether a student should be in a group lesson or a private lesson based on safety concerns. Communicate with families regularly about student progress, including when Golden Learners no longer qualify for a private lesson at the Golden Learner rate. May be trained in "Manager on Duty" (MOD) Responsibilities by the school leaders and be required to MOD. Completes all Asana tasks, regularly participates in L10 meetings, and completes other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED is preferred. Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, and/or childcare provider is required. One or more years as a swim instructor is required. Swimming experience is preferred.
Certificates and Licenses:
Up-to-date Ellis & Associates or American Red Cross Lifeguard certification is required. Lifeguard Instructor certification and/or Certified Pool Operator certification preferred.
Work Environment:
While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity. Noise level is usually moderate.

Pay:
$21.50 - $23 per hour plus monthly bonus opportunities of $0-$300 based on business performance indicators Each Goldfish Swim School is an independently owned and operated franchise.
