Compensation and Benefits :
Salary:

The Position:
The Aquatics Director position with British Swim School is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the aquatics program and customer service interactions. Priorities include ensuring the British Swim School program is delivered according to brand and safety standards, instructor team management, initial and ongoing training, customer conversations as well as teaching lessons when and if necessary. This position will also require due diligence with tracking required certifications for instructors as well as continuing the employee's development and competency and skills.
Your Typical Responsibilities:
Lead, coach, and develop a team of swim instructors and deck supervisors. Maintain a safe, organized, and positive learning environment. Ensure all lessons meet British Swim School teaching and safety standards. Drive student retention and maintain high quality of the program through regular observations, coaching sessions, and instructor evaluations. Create staff schedules and optimize lesson capacity. Engage with our swim families both in person and offline, communicating progress and answer any questions they may have to ensure exceptional family satisfaction. Increase student enrollment through social-media engagement and following up with leads. Monitor certifications and compliance requirements. Collaborate with pool partners regarding facility operations. Teach lessons and provide deck support when operationally necessary.
Required Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and time management abilities Comfortable working evenings and weekends Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment, exhibiting strong decision-making skills related to aquatic safety, daily operations, and non-routine employment matters Demonstrated ability to work independently with strong initiative and exercise sound judgment with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
3 + years of aquatics, recreation, education, childcare, hospitality, or fitness management experience Experience in customer facing roles Experience hiring, training, and coaching employees Lifeguard, CPR, or First Aid certification Experience teaching swimming lessons Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification Here at British Swim School, we are more than just a fun, surface-level swim lesson provider.
