Winnisquam Regional School District is hiring a Director for its combined Middle & High School Theater program . The Theater Director is responsible to oversee development of expectations as well as the overall direction of the program. The Director will be responsible for directing at least one production per year.

DUTIES AND

RESPONSIBILITIESOrganize tryouts and maintain integrity during the selection proPlan and implement rehearsals.

Ensure that all students receive appropriate instruction, support, and opportunities to participate, and work with students to improve personal and theatrical skills. Provide guidance and encouragement to help students prosper from their participation.

Maintain an accurate and current inventory of equipment, and supplies.

Make provisions for maintenance of equipment.

Promote a professional image of the Winnisquam Regional School District.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience and/ or Education in Theatre ArtsAbility to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers, and parentsExcellent communication skills both orally and written requiredcess.

Ability to demonstrate proper acting techniques in a variety of genres is preferred; some knowledge of technical theater is requiredAble to work after school hours, including weekends if neededGreat work ethic and creativityThis is a stipend position.
