HCC is one of the nation's largest singly-accredited, open-admission community colleges, offering associate degrees, certificates, workforce training, and lifelong learning opportunities. The Team Campus Managers play a central role at HCC, ensuring daily operations run like clockwork. Working closely with campus leadership, operations staff, and maintenance teams, this role directly supports faculty, staff, and students by maintaining high-quality academic and operational environments. Position Overview Assist and support the Senior Campus Manager in maintaining a positive, operational, and safe learning environment for administrators, faculty, staff, students, and visitors of HCCS.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Campus Operations & Coordination:
Coordinate and supervise campus activities directly or through designated personnel.
Facilities & Maintenance Support:
Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with coordinating campus maintenance activities, housekeeping oversight, and room set-ups.
Safety & Security:
Serve as the on-site safety officer (coordinating ongoing training through the Director of Safety) and handle security coordination with on-site security personnel.
Instructional & Classroom Logistics:
Maximize classroom utilization in conjunction with instructional staff; coordinate all additions, moves, and changes of furniture and equipment.
Student Services & Discipline:
Assist with student services activities on campus through the Dean of Student Success and support student disciplinary cases as needed.
Administrative & Auxiliary Services Oversight:
Provide direct oversight for cashiering functions, mail services, shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
Personnel Supervision:
Supervise and evaluate Campus Manager's staff according to established college policies and procedures.
Fiscal Support:
Assist the College Operations Officer in the preparation of the departmental budget.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
Bachelors degree required.
Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year of required work experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Strong ability to organize, plan, and develop appropriate campus and center activities.
Service-oriented philosophy with a proven track record of working effectively with diverse groups.
Demonstrated computer proficiency (word processing, spreadsheets, and administrative software).
