Overview Discover Gymnastics is seeking an experienced, energetic, and highly organized Girls Recreational Gymnastics Program Manager to manage the daily operations, continued growth, and overall quality of our Girls Recreational Program. This is a hands-on management position responsible for developing coaches, maintaining high-quality gymnastics instruction, supporting athlete progression and retention, managing program schedules and staffing, and creating an exceptional experience for athletes and families. The ideal candidate is an experienced gymnastics professional who is ready to take the next step into program management. We're looking for someone who can manage and develop a team, maintain strong program standards, solve problems, communicate effectively with families and staff, and help grow a successful recreational gymnastics program. What You'll Do As the Girls Recreational Program Manager, you will: Manage the day-to-day operations of the Girls Recreational Gymnastics Program. Manage, mentor, train, and develop Girls Recreational coaching staff. Conduct class observations and provide coaches with ongoing feedback and performance support. Interview and assist with onboarding new coaching staff. Develop and manage coaching schedules, class assignments, and staffing needs. Ensure consistent implementation of Discover Gymnastics curriculum, lesson plans, skill progressions, and coaching standards. Develop lesson plans and weekly themes that support progressive athlete development. Oversee athlete evaluations, skill progression, class placement, and advancement recommendations. Monitor enrollment, athlete retention, class utilization, and staffing needs and recommend program improvements. Build positive relationships with athletes and families and professionally address customer questions or concerns. Support enrollment growth and long-term athlete participation. Coordinate the Girls Recreational Program's participation in recitals, showcases, special events, and seasonal programming. Conduct department meetings and staff training in coordination with the Director of Programs. Maintain a safe, organized, professional, and engaging gymnastics environment. Review employee timecards, time-off requests, schedules, and required administrative documentation. Collaborate with the Director of Programs, other Program Managers, and Department Managers to support scheduling, shared gym operations, events, and Company goals.

Qualifications Required:

High school diploma or GED. Minimum of 3 years of gymnastics coaching experience. Strong knowledge of gymnastics fundamentals, skill progression, athlete development, and safe spotting practices. Strong management, communication, organization, and customer-service skills. Ability to coach, mentor, and develop employees. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to successfully complete all required background screenings. Current SafeSport training. Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification.

Preferred:

Associate or bachelor's degree. Previous management or supervisory experience. Experience with girls recreational gymnastics or recreational program management. Current USA Gymnastics Professional Membership, if applicable. Experience with scheduling, enrollment management, curriculum implementation, and athlete placement. Familiarity with Jackrabbit, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar systems. What We're Looking For We're looking for a manager who can balance people, programming, and operations. The right candidate will be someone who manages by example, communicates proactively, holds themselves and their team accountable, and understands that a successful recreational program depends on both excellent gymnastics instruction and an excellent athlete and family experience. This position requires strong professional judgment, adaptability, teamwork, problem-solving skills, and a genuine interest in developing both athletes and coaches. Schedule This is a full-time management position requiring schedule flexibility based on the needs of the program. Availability may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, camps, clinics, meetings, special events, and seasonal programming. Extended hours may occasionally be required during peak enrollment periods or major events. Physical Requirements This is an active, hands-on gymnastics management position. The Program Manager must be able to demonstrate gymnastics skills, safely spot athletes of varying ages and skill levels, and assist with equipment and program setup as needed. The position may require lifting, carrying, or moving equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and working in an active gymnastics environment.
