Assistant Snowsports Manager Burke Mountain | East Burke, Vermont Seasonal | Full-Time | Winter 2026-2027 Help Lead the Burke Mountain Snowsports Experience Do you love skiing or snowboarding, working with people, and being part of a team that creates memorable mountain experiences? Burke Mountain is looking for an Assistant Snowsports Manager to help lead our Snowsports team through the winter season. This role is a great opportunity for an experienced instructor or Snowsports professional who enjoys a combination of leadership, guest service, scheduling, programming, and on-mountain operations.
What You'll Do:
Support the daily operations of the Snowsports Department. Coordinate instructor schedules and daily lesson assignments. Monitor lesson bookings and staffing needs. Help deliver and support lessons, camps, and seasonal programs. Provide guidance and support to instructors on lesson content and daily operations. Assist with instructor hiring, onboarding, training, and development. Work closely with Snowsports supervisors to coordinate onsnow operations. Help ensure guests receive a welcoming, professional, and highquality experience. Support communication between instructors, supervisors, and the Snowsports Manager. Help develop and maintain Snowsports programs and bookings. Assist with solving daytoday operational challenges and adapting to changing mountain conditions. Perform other duties that support the Snowsports operation. We're looking for someone who is: An experienced skier or snowboarder with a strong understanding of Snowsports instruction. A confident leader who enjoys supporting and developing others. Organized and comfortable managing schedules, bookings, and changing priorities. Friendly, professional, and passionate about guest service. A strong communicator who works well with a diverse team. Comfortable making decisions and solving problems in a fastpaced environment. Able to work outdoors in Vermont winter conditions. Comfortable using computers and scheduling/booking systems.
PSIA/AASI
Level 2 or higher certification is preferred, but equivalent experience may be considered.

Schedule & Working Conditions:
This is a seasonal winter position with a schedule based on business and operational needs. Weekends, holidays, early mornings, and variable hours are expected during the winter season. The position involves working both indoors and outdoors and may include skiing or snowboarding, walking on uneven or slippery surfaces, standing for extended periods, and navigating resort terrain, stairs, lifts, and other facilities.
