Job Description

Burke Town School seeks a Part-time, full-year Custodian. This job includes customary cleaning, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, removing trash, restocking bathrooms, etc. Minor maintenance, including repairs and painting, moving furniture during the summer, assistance with snow removal in the winter, etc. Additional custodial duties include securing the building, preparing for special events, operating of typical custodial equipment such as floor machines. We maintain a collaborative team environment where flexibility and cooperation are expected. Strong interpersonal skills for interactions with colleagues, staff, and students are a must.

The pay range for this position is currently $17.21/hr.-$23.57/hr.

Burke Town School is part of the Kingdom East School District and is located in the heart of a vibrant community in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. We operate seven preK-8th grade schools ranging from 60 to 500 students. Our high school students have "choice" and may opt to attend one of the traditional independent schools -- Lyndon Institute or St. Johnsbury Academy - or another high school of their choosing.

We are located about 3 hours from Boston, Montreal and Portland, ME. Our region is known for breathtaking views and access to great skiing, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, canoeing and other outdoor opportunities.
