Event CoordinatorSettlers Bay Lodge | Wasilla, Alaska Settlers Bay Lodge is seeking an organized, driven, and hospitality-focused Event Coordinator to join our team. From intimate dinners to weddings, corporate events, fundraisers, golf tournaments, and large banquets, our Event Coordinator is responsible for creating exceptional guest experiences from the first inquiry through the final farewell. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has outstanding communication skills, enjoys building relationships, and takes pride in executing events at a high level. What You'll Do Respond promptly to event inquiries via phone and email. Conduct venue tours and consultations with prospective clients. Build proposals, contracts, Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), and event timelines. Guide clients through menu selections, room layouts, bar options, and event logistics. Coordinate with the culinary, service, and management teams to ensure flawless execution. Attend and oversee events to ensure expectations are met or exceeded. Maintain accurate event files, calendars, and client communications. Generate new business through networking and relationship building. Follow up with prospective clients to convert leads into booked events. Assist with marketing initiatives, bridal shows, and community outreach when needed. We're Looking For Someone Who Has exceptional organization and attention to detail. Responds quickly and communicates professionally. Enjoys sales and building lasting client relationships. Can prioritize multiple events simultaneously. Is confident making decisions and solving problems under pressure. Has strong computer skills and learns new software quickly. Works well independently while collaborating with a team. Is willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when events require. Preferred Qualifications Previous event coordination, hospitality, catering, or sales experience. Experience with Tripleseat, Toast, Microsoft Office, or similar platforms is a plus. Hospitality, hotel, restaurant, or wedding industry experience preferred.
