Member Success Coordinator PerformanceGaines Palo Alto, CA Job Details Part-time $48,000 - $65,000 a year 1 hour ago Benefits On-site gym Qualifications Google Workspace Management Community management AI tools proficiency Fitness sales Calendar management Email marketing software Prospecting Productivity software Marketing Full Job Description Who we are PerformanceGaines is a training facility in Palo Alto for people who are serious about their performance and making progress. We don't sell transformation. We help people build the habits that support who they are working to become, and we do it through genuine relationships and problem solving. This role supports those relationships. The facility contains a training floor, a Longevity program, and a community of independent coaches and practitioners who work side by side. About the role We're looking for a Member Success Coordinator to join us in Palo Alto. You'll be the first person our members and visitors see in the morning, and the person they come to when they need something. You set the tone for what it feels like to walk in here. The job is relationships. You'll get to know every member, welcome the new ones, and bring in the next. You'll work alongside the founders, our head Longevity coach, the coaches, and the practitioners who share the building. You'll manage the receptionists who cover evenings and weekends. We're looking for someone organized, proactive, and resourceful who has proven sales experience and kept their customers. You'll anticipate what people need and would rather build a community than work a desk. If that's you, we'd like to hear from you. What you'll do Greet our members by name and take care of what they need. Welcome new members and help them settle in during their first weeks. Notice when someone has gone quiet and reach out. Talk with prospective members, hold the intro conversations, and help the right people join.
Handle the day-to-day:
billing questions, holds, scheduling, the inbox and the phone. Keep up our online presence and the community calendar: challenges, milestones, birthdays. Manage the receptionists who cover evenings and weekends. What success looks like The role hits its stride in the first three months. By then you know every active member by name, new members are settling in well, the receptionists are running evenings and weekends, and mornings run smoothly. We measure the role on a few numbers, mostly retention, and we'll walk you through them before you accept so you know exactly what the job entails. What you'll need You've sold a service and kept the customers. You can tell us how. You've managed at least one person. You remember names and notice when something's off. You write clearly. You pick up software quickly (GymMaster, Google Workspace, Mailchimp) and use AI tools to handle the repetitive parts. You're discreet with other people's billing and personal business. You're steady when the morning doesn't go to plan. Some of this job is on this page and some of it is whatever needs doing that day. You can be here every weekday morning. This isn't a remote role. You have a track record. This isn't a first job. You don't need a fitness background. This isn't a coaching job, and it isn't a stepping stone to one. It is partly a sales position. You'll bring new members in and you'll be paid for the ones who stay. We don't run quotas, because you'll see the people you sign every morning, and that only works if they were the right fit.
