Job Description
Hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday with very occasional early mornings, early evenings, weekends
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION
1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 2. One to two years development/nonprofit experience 3. Well organized, self-starter. Working knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, recording meeting minutes. Strong attention to detail is equally important. 4. Outstanding demonstrable technical skills and proficiency of computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Drive. Literate on both PC and MAC Computer operations. 5. Excellent writing skills 6. Ability to read and interpret financial information 7. Skill in prioritizing assignments with competing deadlines and requirements. 8. Strong interpersonal, communication, networking and presentation skills, including a high level of confidentiality combined with flexibility, resourcefulness and efficiency. 9. Desire to lend imagination and creative thinking in solving challenges as part of dynamic team of professionals 10. In possession of a California Drivers License that is current, and an acceptable driving record to our insurer. 11. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. 12. Ability to serve as a mandated reporter.JOB DUTIES
Assist and support the Executive Director in the development, management and execution of timelines for assigned fundraising events and major gift work/individual solicitations with a focus on the corporate sector. Ensure strategic plans and critical fundraising processes are carried out in a timely manner. Help develop--from Discovery to Stewardship--corporate, community and individual prospects for the organization's fundraising priorities.- Coordinate event production, beginning with the development of sponsorship solicitations, working with the volunteer committee on logistics, and culminating in the execution of successful events that result in strong participation and net earnings.
- Work closely with accountant and ED for additional requests related to financial reporting, oversight, grants, and reporting requirements.
- Track accounts payable and receivables for accuracy, timeliness. Prepare bank deposits on a weekly basis.
- Work with the Volunteer Engagement Coordinator to introduce volunteer opportunities and recruit from the corporate sector.
- Work with the Administrative Assistant to ensure smooth work flow in the maintenance of records and files; functionality of the database and adherence to established database style guide, preparation of bulk mailings and personalized mail merges, email distributions, updates to the website and social media and confidential files.
- Assist the Bookkeeper in reconciling event overview, preparing reports and invoicing receivables.

at community and networking events- Support office activities and program development as needed.
