Full Job Description Event Manager Reelworks Denver Salary:
$70,000 annually + Bonus (s) About Reelworks Reelworks is a premier Denver event venue and production space hosting a wide range of concerts, corporate events, fundraisers, galas, private events, and large-scale experiences. We're looking for an organized, energetic, and hands-on Event Manager to join our team and help bring exceptional events to life. Position Overview The Event Manager will play a key role in the planning and execution of events at Reelworks, working closely with clients, vendors, staff, and the Event Director to ensure every event runs smoothly from initial planning through completion. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys the fast-paced nature of live events, is comfortable juggling multiple priorities, and takes pride in creating memorable experiences for clients and guests. The Event Manager will assist the Event Director with the execution of events and will take ownership of assigned event responsibilities before, during, and after each event. Key Responsibilities Assist the Event Director with the planning, coordination, and execution of events at Reelworks. Serve as a point of contact for clients, vendors, contractors, and event staff. Support event logistics including timelines, floor plans, load-in/load-out, setup, event flow, and breakdown. Attend and manage events on-site, ensuring all details are executed according to client expectations and venue standards. Coordinate with catering, bar, production, security, AV, entertainment, and other event partners. Communicate event details and expectations clearly with internal teams and outside vendors. Help oversee event staff and provide direction during event execution. Troubleshoot issues quickly and professionally when unexpected challenges arise. Assist with event proposals, estimates, timelines, production schedules, and other planning documents as needed. Conduct event walkthroughs and assist with client meetings and venue tours. Maintain strong client relationships and provide a high level of customer service throughout the event process. Ensure the venue is properly prepared before events and returned to appropriate condition following events. Track event details, changes, and special requests to ensure nothing falls through the cracks. Assist with multiple events simultaneously while maintaining organization and attention to detail. Support the Event Director and Reelworks leadership team with additional event-related projects and responsibilities as needed. What We're Looking For 2+ years of experience in event management, hospitality, venue operations, catering, or a related field. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to remain calm, flexible, and solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple moving pieces at once. Comfortable working directly with clients, vendors, event staff, and senior leadership. A hands-on, team-oriented attitude — willing to jump in wherever needed to make an event successful. Ability to work independently while also collaborating closely with the Event Director and Reelworks team. Experience with corporate events, concerts, galas, fundraisers, weddings, or large-scale events is a plus. Ability to sometimes work 10+ hours depending on the day. Schedule & Work Environment Events don't always happen from 9-5, and this role requires flexibility. Evening, late-night, and weekend work will be required based on the event schedule. The Event Manager should be comfortable working extended hours during event days and adjusting their schedule around the needs of the Reelworks event calendar. There can be a mix of long days, late nights, and early mornings. Compensation $70,000 annual salary plus bonus (s) , including the opportunity to work alongside an experienced events team in one of Denver's leading independent event venues. The Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys events and thrives in the organized chaos that comes with producing live experiences. If you're someone who can walk into a room, see what needs to be done, jump in, solve problems, keep clients happy, and help the team deliver an incredible event — we'd love to meet you
