FREIGHT is a premier event venue hosting a mix of private and community events, from weddings and corporate gatherings to concerts and cultural celebrations. We take pride in providing exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for our clients and guests.Special Job Requirements:
Seasonal, Part-Time Role:
This position runs late August through October. Staff must be available over Labor Day Weekend.Schedule Expectations:
Most of our events are scheduled on Thursday , Fridays, and Saturdays. However, we host several events on weekdays, and staff with flexible availability throughout the week are highly valued for this role. Availability on holidays, weekends, and evenings is an expected and required part of this job.Who This Role Is For:
Ideal for someone looking for part-time, seasonal work , a second job , or experience in event staffing and hospitality .Responsibilities Include:
Event setup and breakdown- tables, chairs, signage, and more Keeping the venue clean and presentable throughout the event (restocking restrooms, clearing dishes/glassware, trash runs, etc.) Assisting with food and beverage stations
- helping restock, clearing, or serving when needed Providing excellent customer service
- greeting guests, answering questions, helping with directions, and ensuring everyone feels welcome Occasional duties off-site for ceremonies We're Looking for
Someone Who:
Is a team player with a positive attitude Can lift and move event furniture and supplies (up to ~50 lbs) Stays focused in a fast-paced, changing environment Takes initiative and proactively completes tasks Is professional, punctual, and detail-oriented Has flexible availability throughout the week This is a great role for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes, takes pride in doing a job well, and thrives as part of a collaborative, hardworking team.
