Job Description The Prospector educates, entertains, and dazzles groups, schools, and businesses of all sizes! Participants build empathy and community service skills by actively engaging in custom-designed, Prospect-led programming. The Education & Accessibility Assistant supports the planning and execution of our educational events and initiatives. You'll be right in the action, helping to design impactful experiences, ensuring smooth event logistics, and creating welcoming, joyful spaces for participants of all backgrounds. Expectations (aka Your Sparkle in Action) Before Educational Experiences Prepare and send invoices and any additional documentation requested Add the event's information to The Prospector's metrics Prepare and send the timeline of events to the school's contact Order pizza and reserve parking for buses/vans (if applicable) Check the inventory and prep supplies needed for the event Make copies and distribute handouts, tour schedules, etc. to Prospects Day of Educational Experiences Retrieve, sanitize, and prep tables, carts, etc. for concessions Assist with the preparation of popcorn, drinks, etc. Assist in serving pizza and directing students to seating & restrooms Assist the Clean Team after the event with trash disposal, vacuuming, wiping down surfaces, etc. After Educational Experiences Send thank-you notes to teachers/staff Assist in tracking participation, collecting feedback, and contributing to program improvement Collect feedback from teachers/staff Collaborate with the Director of Education & Accessibility to make improvements to each program Qualifications High energy, "can-do" attitude, flexibility, teamwork, and attention to detail Strong organizational skills and the capacity to "think on your feet" Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt quickly to changing needs Comfort with public speaking, group facilitation, or leading activities Passion for community engagement, education, or service-based learning A people-first mindset — kindness, flexibility, and empathy are a must Some experience in event coordination, education, or nonprofit work is a plus Commitment to the mission of The Prospector Compensation & Perks Competitive wage plus benefits (health, 401k, EAP, PTO, and more for eligible employees) Work in a one-of-a-kind nonprofit movie theater that changes lives every day Free movies, soda, coffee, and popcorn The chance to educate the community about our mission and change the world one guest at a time!
