This is a unique opportunity for someone who loves music, enjoys working directly with clients, and understands that a great event is about much more than simply playing music. One Exclusive Location All of our events take place at one exclusive Connecticut banquet facility located in New Haven County. You will become familiar with the facility, its staff, its layout, and how events work there. No Equipment Required! The catering facility has a state-of-the-art sound system permanently installed in the ballroom , eliminating the need to load, transport, set up, and break down your own speakers and sound equipment for every event. All you will need is your DJ mixing console and computer. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus!! What You'll Do Event & Party Planning Meet with clients to help plan the music, entertainment, and overall flow of their event. Discuss music selections, special dances, introductions, announcements, and the overall party flow. Conduct event rehearsals when needed and help clients and their guests feel prepared and comfortable. Serve as a knowledgeable and reassuring point of contact throughout the planning process. Compensation $25 per hour for event-related services other than DJing, including: Event planning meetings Client consultations Rehearsals Party management and coordination Other approved event preparation and support $50 per hour for DJing and performing at the event or private party. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience as a DJ, event DJ, or party professional. A strong working knowledge of popular music and dance music. Has a library of music appropriate for weddings and similar events. Organized, dependable, and professional. Able to take initiative and handle unexpected situations that can arise at events.
