Job Description

Job Description Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center (RRB/ITC) is a dynamic hub for government, business, commerce and the community, in the heart of the nation's capital. As the first and only federal building dedicated to both public and private use, the Reagan Building is the official World Trade Center Washington, DC, featuring a premier conference and events center, executive office space, attractions and exhibits, retail, dining, parking and public programming. Trade Center Management Associates (TCMA, A Drew Company), the exclusive manager of the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, is seeking an Event Planning Manager to join our team. The Event Planning Manager will engage with clients to immediately develop a partnership, and work to understand client needs in order to help them make the best choices for their meetings and events. All information related to events will be entered in the EMS system in accordance with TCMA's guidelines and passed on to the appropriate departments. The Event Planning Manager will meet clients prior to the start of their event to welcome them and review event specs. Essential Functions Have a thorough knowledge of all menu items. Return calls to clients in a timely manner. Become proficient in relevant software to create BEOs and diagrams. Ensure that all information is contained in each BEO to enable other food and beverage departments to deliver food and services that align with the client's expectations. Request permission from the GSA in a timely manner when appropriate. Place orders for ancillary services, i.e. security requests, elevator and lighting needs, coat checks required, etc. Interface with internal and external clients and assist with their meeting planning needs. Inform Director of Food and Beverage of any issues. Meet with clients prior to meeting/event, monitor meetings throughout the day, follow up with clients after meeting/event for feedback. Prepare reports, plan events, interface with other F&B departments, attend meetings as directed by the Director of Food and Beverage. Job Requirements Five years' experience in event planning/operations Excellent communication skills Strong understanding of all aspects of event planning and execution Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Flexibility with schedule; can work days, evenings and weekends Environment Able to stand/walk for extended periods of time Able to enter data for extended periods of time Trade Center Management Associates is an equal opportunity employer.
