Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
As an Event Services Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of events by handling set up and tear down, assisting clients during the event, and various other venue related responsibilities. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively, excellent interpersonal skills to interact with clients, vendors, and guests, and the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and most weekends.RESPONSIBILITIES
Event Set Up and Tear Down- Prepare event spaces by arranging furniture, decorations, and equipment as per client requirements
- Ensure all event elements, including audiovisual equipment, signage, and materials, are in place
- Assist with the dismantling and cleanup of event spaces after the event concludes, including trash removal Event Logistics
- Assist in managing event logistics as outlined in the event plan
- Support vendors and clients during their arrival and setup
- Troubleshoot and address logistical issues as they arise
- Perform touch-up cleaning during events to keep public facing spaces in good condition Customer Service
- Provide exceptional customer service to all event attendees and clients, ensuring a positive and welcoming atmosphere at all times
- Address guest inquiries and concerns professionally and promptly Venue Support
- Assist with inventory management and track that event items get cleaned and returned to their proper location
- Check and maintain venue and equipment functionality
- Use basic tools to complete minor venue repairs as needed Other Duties
- Adapt to and assist with various tasks as needed to ensure the success of events
- Collaborate with the Event Manager to brainstorm and implement improvements in event processes
- Other tasks as assigned by Management
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Physical ability to lift heavy items, stand for extended periods, and work quickly under pressure
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring precise placement of decorations and equipment to maintain visual aesthetics
- Collaborate effectively with other event staff to ensure a smooth execution
- Flexibility to adjust to changing event plans and unexpected situations
- Understanding of basic audio-visual equipment operation or willingness to learn
