Job Description
Are you someone who loves events, enjoys creating memorable experiences, and wants to build a career in the event industry? We are looking for a Banquet Supervisor to work closely with our Banquet Manager in preparing for and executing events at Stonebridge Country Club. This hands-on position combines administrative responsibilities with the behind-the-scenes preparation, organization, and teamwork required to deliver exceptional events. This is not a serving position, although previous banquet or restaurant service experience is strongly preferred. Occasional serving may be required based on event and operational needs. The position is approximately 50% office/computer work and 50% hands-on event preparation and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with planning, organizing, and executing club events
- Prepare event documents, schedules, setup information, and other administrative details
- Communicate with vendors and coordinate event-related deliveries and materials
- Assist with event setup, décor, signage, breakdown, and proper storage
- Help supervise and support banquet staff during events
- Assist with service when needed to ensure an exceptional member and guest experience
- Maintain organized event supplies, inventory, linens, décor, and storage areas
- Handle hands-on preparation such as steaming linens, preparing flowers, unpacking materials, and completing last-minute event details
- Help troubleshoot and respond positively when event plans or needs change The ideal candidate is energetic, dependable, organized, positive, and genuinely interested in events as a career.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Previous banquet, restaurant, hospitality, serving, or event experience
- Enjoys both creative, hands-on work and administrative responsibilities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable interacting professionally with members, guests, staff, and vendors
- Able to remain calm, flexible, and solution-oriented in a fast-paced event environment
- Punctual, dependable, and willing to help wherever needed
- Good computer skills and the ability to learn new programs Flexibility is essential.
Pay:
