These events range from private social events, such as weddings, bar mitzvahs, and galas to public fundraisers and corporate events. We are looking for energetic and approachable people to join our Event Staff for our fall event season. Availability on weekends is a must, most events take place on Saturdays with the shift typically taking place 2-11:30pm. The typical responsibilities include arriving approximately two hours before the event is scheduled to begin and getting the museum ready, giving access to vendors as they arrive and providing assistance to catering companies as they set-up. During the event, the responsibilities of the event staff are to check in on the client and the museum to make sure everything is running smoothly. You will manage the breakdown of the event including where rentals are stored, and personal belongings of the client as well as close the museum. Catering staff handles the set-up and breakdown of all equipment as well as facilitating the event throughout the evening.. We work hard to build a positive relationship with all of our clients that will translate into positive reviews and referrals. The event staffs job is to keep the client happy by being approachable and helpful while maintaining relationships with vendors. This position is perfect for college students and beyond looking for experience in the event industry and hospitality.
