Temporary Events Coordinator Beacon Hill Staffing Group - 3.8 Waltham, MA Job Details Full-time | Contract Up to $25 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Dental insurance Vision insurance Qualifications Bachelor's degree Full Job Description Our client, a higher education institution, is seeking a Temporary Event Coordinator to join their campus events team for a 3+ month assignment with potential for permanent hire. This position pays $25/hour, is 35 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM), and is based onsite in Waltham, MA, with the possibility of one remote day per week after training. The Event Coordinator will support the planning and execution of student, departmental, and large-scale university events while collaborating closely with campus stakeholders and operations teams. Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and execute campus-wide events for student organizations, departments, and university leadership Support major institutional events including orientation, alumni programming, commencement, and presidential events Partner with campus departments and stakeholders to ensure successful event execution Provide guidance and consultation on event planning best practices Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail Assist with event logistics, scheduling, and operational coordination
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required Junior to mid-level event planning or event management experience Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Google Workspace, and shared document platforms Exceptionally organized with strong attention to detail Experience with event reservation systems; knowledge of 25Live preferred Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
