DANA Events is a growing event décor and planning company serving Maryland, Washington, DC, and Northern Virginia. We specialize in custom balloon installations, backdrops, and premium event décor for birthdays, baby showers, weddings, corporate events, and luxury celebrations. We are looking for an experienced Balloon Artist/Event Installer to join our team on a full-time contract basis. This is a hands-on position for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, physically active, and passionate about creating high-quality balloon installations. Responsibilities Create professional organic balloon garlands, arches, columns, and specialty balloon installations Prepare balloon décor and event inventory in our Gaithersburg studio Load, transport, unload, and organize décor and rental inventory Complete event installations and breakdowns independently while maintaining DANA Events' quality standards Follow design plans, measurements, timelines, and setup instructions Keep the studio clean, organized, and inventory ready for upcoming events Communicate professionally with clients and the team during installations Schedule Wednesday - Sunday Monday & Tuesday off Weekend availability is required Hours vary depending on event schedules, with occasional early mornings and evening breakdowns Requirements Minimum 2 years of professional balloon décor experience Ability to complete event setups independently Excellent attention to detail and strong time management Reliable and punctual Comfortable lifting 50+ lbs and performing physical setup work Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Comfortable driving a U-Haul cargo van or box truck when needed Vehicle Requirement Applicants should own a large SUV, minivan, cargo van, or similar vehicle capable of safely transporting large balloon installations and event inventory. Vehicle reimbursement is available and will be negotiated based on the vehicle used and travel requirements.
