Senior Events Manager We are seeking an accomplished Senior Events Manager to lead the planning and flawless execution of memorable events for our Food & Beverage division at The Westin. Job Summary The Senior Events Manager will oversee the end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of events ranging from corporate meetings and banquets to weddings and social gatherings. This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance client satisfaction, operational efficiency, and profitability while leading a team of event professionals in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of events, ensuring seamless coordination across catering, banquet, and operations teams. Design customized event proposals and floor plans that align with client vision and budgetary requirements. Collaborate with sales, culinary, and banquet departments to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery. Negotiate contracts and vendor agreements to secure favorable terms while maintaining profitability. Manage event budgets, forecasting revenue and controlling costs to meet departmental financial goals. Supervise and mentor junior event coordinators and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. Analyze post-event feedback and performance metrics to continuously improve service standards and client satisfaction. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the planning process, ensuring clear communication and expectation management. Required Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of experience in event management, preferably within the hospitality or hotel industry. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale events, banquets, or conferences. Strong organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build lasting client relationships. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on event schedules. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) or similar industry certification. Experience working within a multi-outlet hotel or resort property. Familiarity with The Westin's local event and hospitality market. Technical Skills Proficiency with event management software (e.g., Delphi, Cvent, or similar platforms). Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel for budget tracking and reporting. Working knowledge of banquet operations, catering logistics, and audiovisual coordination. Experience with CRM or client database tools to manage client relationships and event history.
