An Event Planner coordinates promotional sales events, professional meetings and family events. Works with clients, develops event plans and budgets, finds appropriate sites, contracts for services and supplies, coordinates with on-site staff, oversees finances and assists during an event.
The Gilmore Car Museum is hiring for seasonal Events Staff. The Events Staff will provide operational support to Events Operations and the Car Show Experience team. The Events Staff will be responsible for set-up and tear down for all car shows and all events held at the Gilmore Car Museum. The events team ensures building and grounds are kept up to Gilmore standards. In this position you will also direct parking for all events, facilities maintenance, trash collection and other assigned duties.
Skills & Abilities:
Support car shows and events with car clubs, and internal staff, by evaluating their event needs and event logistics, programming, and experiences. Follow event plans/ event orders including timelines, budgets, and risk assessments. This includes both preevents, inevent, and postevent activities. Assist with logistical operations during the event, such as venue setup. Collaborate as a team to create a positive event experience. Participate in postevent evaluations, analyze performance Manage issues maintain guest recovery standards for Gilmore Culture and troubleshoot emerging dayofevent matters. Follow event diagrams and layouts to ensure accurate setup. Monitor event inventory and ensure all necessary materials and supplies are accounted for. Other duties as assigned
