Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dependable part-time Events Manager to lead and oversee the successful execution of a wide range of events within our vibrant venue. This pivotal role involves supervising event operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining seamless coordination among staff. As a key leader, you will foster a positive environment, uphold high standards of service, and drive operational excellence to make every event memorable. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of leadership, hospitality, and action. Every event is different — and your ability to adapt, solve problems, and jump in wherever needed will make all the difference. •Must be available most Fridays and Saturdays from May - early November. Key Responsibilities Oversee the execution of events, ensuring all details align with client expectations and venue standards Be hands-on with ceremony setup and turnover and also behind bar assisting bartenders when things are busy Supervise staff during events, including assigning roles, monitoring performance, and providing guidance to ensure smooth operations Handle guest inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and deliver outstanding customer service to enhance guest satisfaction
Vendor Relations:
direct vendors to their appropriate setup areas, offer photographers insight into the best photo spots based on past events, stay in contact with caterers throughout the night; check them out at the end of the event Oversee cash handling procedures during events, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies Prepare reports on event outcomes, staff performance, and operational challenges to inform future improvements. Skills Proven experience in hospitality, events, or customer service roles or similar positions within event environments Strong leadership skills with the ability to work efficiently with a calm demeanor in a fast-paced setting, especially while under pressure Demonstrated management experience with staff supervision Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and conflict resolution Willing and able to pitch in wherever needed, including physical tasks Must be available for 10-hour shifts on Fridays and/or Saturdays Able to lift up to 30 lbs and stay on your feet throughout the shift This position is part-time and is largely seasonal with the bulk of our events being from May - early November with occasional events in the off-peak season.
Pay:
From $20.00 per hour
