Behind that are detailed schedules, dependable suppliers, prepared crews, safe working practices, and someone who keeps every moving part aligned. QuartzFrame Events is looking for a Senior Operations Manager to lead the operational planning and delivery behind its live events. You will be responsible for making sure teams, venues, equipment, suppliers, and event plans come together properly from the first production meeting through load-out. About the role This is a senior, hands-on operations position. You will manage the process, not just the paperwork. One week may involve reviewing a venue plan and confirming equipment availability; the next may involve solving a last-minute supplier issue, overseeing a busy event day, or improving the way the team prepares for future work. You will work closely with event producers, clients, suppliers, venue contacts, and on-site crews. Core responsibilities Lead operational planning for corporate events, private functions, activations, and other live experiences. Build and manage event timelines, production schedules, staffing plans, run sheets, and load-in and load-out requirements. Coordinate suppliers, contractors, production partners, venues, and equipment providers. Oversee event operations on site, ensuring teams are briefed, materials are in place, and issues are resolved quickly. Manage event budgets, purchase orders, invoices, supplier costs, and operational spend. Maintain health and safety processes, risk assessments, insurance documentation, permits, and venue compliance requirements. Manage and develop operations coordinators, event staff, and contracted crews. Monitor equipment inventory, storage, maintenance, and rental requirements. Lead pre-event briefings and post-event reviews, identifying improvements for future delivery. Create clear operational procedures and maintain accurate records for each event. Provide producers and senior leadership with regular updates on event readiness, risks, staffing, and cost performance. Build strong, reliable working relationships with preferred vendors and venue partners. What you will bring Significant experience in event operations, production management, venue operations, hospitality operations, or a comparable live-events environment. Experience coordinating several events or projects at once while maintaining a close eye on detail. Strong knowledge of event logistics, supplier management, scheduling, venue coordination, and on-site delivery. Experience managing operational budgets and controlling event-related costs. A practical understanding of health and safety, risk management, and event compliance. Confident people-management skills and experience leading teams in a fast-moving environment. Calm judgement under pressure and the ability to respond constructively when plans change. Strong organisational, written, and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and event, project, or inventory-management systems. A degree in event management, hospitality, business, operations, or a related area is welcome, but relevant experience is equally valued. Working pattern The standard office schedule is Monday through Friday. Because this role supports live events, some evening and weekend work will be required around the event calendar. Advance scheduling and time off in lieu will be managed wherever possible. Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) plan with company contribution Paid time off, paid sick leave, and paid company holidays Time off in lieu for qualifying event coverage Company-paid parking or transport support when working events Life and disability insurance Professional development support for event, safety, and leadership training Employee assistance program QuartzFrame Events is an equal opportunity employer.
