Description and Requirements The Global Event Manager participates as an active member of the Global Events team in the planning and execution of multi-tiered, complex global events, helping strengthen Lenovo's brand, showcase its innovation and technology leadership, and engage priority audiences globally.

Customers (Enterprise, Channel, Consumer) Media & analysts Influencers and fans Partners and external stakeholders Lenovo employees and executives
Responsibilities:
Own and support complex global events from concept through execution, coordinating multiple workstreams, stakeholders, agencies, vendors, venues, partners, and markets to deliver high-quality event experiences Develop and manage detailed, milestone-based project plans covering the complete event lifecycle, including timelines, deliverables, dependencies, ownership, budgets, approvals, risks, rehearsals, production, execution, and post-event activities Drive day-to-day event planning and project management, proactively identifying risks, resolving issues, managing dependencies, and ensuring teams remain aligned to agreed timelines, scope, quality standards, and budgets Work closely and collaboratively with Lenovo's Business Groups, Geographies, global marketing teams, communications, product teams, sales organizations, executives, and other internal functions to align event objectives, audiences, content, experiences, and execution Represent Lenovo's interests with external stakeholders, including agencies, production partners, venues, technology providers, strategic partners, event organizers, and other third parties throughout negotiations, planning, and activation Communicate regularly with project stakeholders, including preparing and presenting event plans, project status, milestones, scope, risks, decisions, and recommendations to working teams and senior leadership Manage outside agencies and vendors while working with global and regional marketing resources to ensure consistent execution of Lenovo brand standards, messaging, and attendee experiences across markets Use AI and digital tools as part of the event planning and execution process, identifying opportunities to improve productivity, collaboration, content development, attendee engagement, reporting, and operational efficiency Demonstrate hands-on familiarity with modern generative AI and AI productivity tools and be capable of creating or configuring basic AI agents or automated AI workflows for event-related use cases, such as project coordination, information retrieval, attendee support, content development, event communications, or post-event analysis Support continuous innovation within the Global Events team by testing new event technologies and AI-enabled solutions and sharing relevant best practices with colleagues and stakeholders Closely manage administrative and operational functions related to contracts, budgets, purchase commitments (PC), invoices, equipment and merchandise orders, vendor management, and other event requirements Support on-site event execution as required, working effectively in fast-moving and high-pressure environments while coordinating internal teams and external partners to ensure successful delivery Lenovo's flagship global events bring together customers, consumers, media, analysts, partners, executives, and other audiences from around the world and increasingly showcase the company's AI innovation and global partnerships; Current global event programs also involve coordination across multiple geographies and diverse audience groups
Qualifications:
5+ years of progressive professional experience in global events, experiential marketing, integrated marketing, event production, or a closely related discipline, with significant experience managing large-scale and complex events Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Event Management, or a related field preferred Demonstrated experience l eading complex events from strategy and concept through execution and post-event evaluation, with accountability for multiple concurrent workstreams, timelines, dependencies, budgets, and deliverables Proven experience working in a global, matrixed organization, coordinating across multiple functions, business groups, geographies, and time zones Demonstrated ability to independently manage agencies, production partners, venues, vendors, and other external stakeholders, including scope, deliverables, budgets, contracts, and performance Strong project and program management skills, including experience developing detailed project plans, identifying and mitigating risks, resolving issues, and managing competing priorities in fast-paced environments Experience managing significant event budgets and financial processes, including forecasting, purchase commitments/POs, contracts, invoices, reconciliation, and budget tracking Strong executive presence and communication skills, with demonstrated experience presenting plans, recommendations, risks, and status updates to senior leaders and influencing stakeholders without direct authority Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in high-pressure, highly visible environments, exercise sound judgment, and resolve issues quickly during live events Working knowledge of event technology, digital platforms, and generative AI/productivity tools, with demonstrated ability to apply AI to improve event planning, execution, communications, attendee experience, or analysis Ability and willingness to t ravel domestically and internationally and work outside standard business hours as required to support global events
