Who We Are:

We are a registered nonprofit organization that collects and distributes donated healthcare supplies to those in need locally and globally at low or no-cost. We are committed to increasing the accessibility of affordable healthcare equipment and supplies through environmentally responsible programs and partnerships that promote recycling through local and global distribution.

Position Summary:

The Development Coordinator collaborates with our HERO Team to promote HERO's values of providing affordable medical equipment through teamwork, respect, and relationships. This position works with the team and outside sources to develop and execute HERO's fundraising strategy to ensure sustainability with HERO's mission.

Essential Responsibilities:

§ Implementing creative fundraising programs § Identify, edit, and write grant/funding proposals and reports § Establish a budget for events and account for anticipated fundraising outcomes § Donor Recruitment and Retention § Proactively work with the community on business and organization funding programs § Promote fundraising events using communication media such as flyers, advertisements, and social media platforms § Develop and maintain working relationships with business partners § Work with community volunteers and warehouse inventory as needed § Maintain confidentiality of clients and records Qualifications, Skills, +

Abilities:

§ Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related field (preferred) § Experience working with fundraising, business development, or customer service § Strong skills in working independently including organizational skills, setting priorities and managing multiple detail-oriented tasks § Proficient in the use of technology and ability to be proficient in software used at HERO such as Office, donor database, graphic design, retail POS, etc. § Empathetic listening ability § Ability to work as part of a small, integrated team § Valid driver's license Physical/Mental Requirements +

Working Conditions:

§ Abilities in communicating, concentrating, thinking, reading, observation and listening. § Typical office environment with some movement throughout the warehouse § Ability to sit, stand, push, pull, bend, lift, climb, reach, and/or twist occasionally § Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally
