Group Sales & Event Manager
Job Description
Group Sales & Events Manager Overview Responsible for driving group and event revenue for the hotel by developing sales strategies, managing client relationships, coordinating events, and ensuring excellent on-site delivery. Works with operations, catering, marketing and revenue teams to maximize occupancy, ADR and event profitability. Key Responsibilities Prospect, qualify and close group business (association, leisure, SMERF) to meet monthly/quarterly/yearly revenue targets. Manage full sales cycle for group accounts: lead generation, site visits, RFP responses, contract negotiation and execution. Build and maintain strong relationships with client's & local event partners. Prepare accurate proposals, BEOs, event resumes and contracts; ensure timely follow-up and contract compliance. Coordinate internally with Catering, Front Office, and Housekeeping to ensure seamless event delivery and high guest satisfaction. Manage room pick-up and blocks; optimize pick-up pace and release dates to protect transient revenue. Lead site inspections and property tours. Develop and execute strategic and targeted marketing initiatives (packages, promotions, site content) and manage all social media posts. Represent the hotel at local business events and networking functions. Ensure compliance with brand standards, local regulations and hotel policies. Qualifications Proven experience (typically 2-5+ years) in hotel/group sales, event management or hospitality sales. Familiarity with group contracting, catering BEOs, event production and revenue management concepts. Experience with CRM/PMS systems (e.g., Delphi, Amadeus/Opera, Salesforce) and Microsoft Office. Skills & Competencies Strong negotiation, closing and presentation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication; professional phone manner. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail under deadline pressure. Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage budgets. Customer-service oriented with problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities. Analytical aptitude for forecasting, pricing and performance tracking. Team player with leadership capability and ability to work cross-functionally. Reporting Reports to Regional Director of Sales & Marketing and Vice President; collaborates regularly with hotel brand Revenue Managers and Operations leaders.

Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$50,000.00- $55,000.
