Job Description

3NWC Events Assistant Reno-Sparks Indian Colony - 3.2 Reno, NV Job Details Full-time $23.91 - $29.18 an hour 15 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Paid time off Dependent health insurance coverage Qualifications Customer communication Full Job Description Our Community Roots The Reno-Sparks Indian Colony represents descendants of three Great Basin Indigenous peoples: the Numu (Northern Paiute) , Newe (Western Shoshone) , and Washeshu (Washoe) . These communities lived in harmony with the land for generations before European contact, following seasonal cycles and forming small, efficient social groups for survival. Each group's name means "The People" in their own language, reflecting their deep cultural identity and connection to the Earth. They maintained strong traditions, respected neighboring tribes, and engaged in trade throughout the region. Today, the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony continues to honor these traditions while supporting the well-being, culture, and future of its tribal community. What You'll Do The 3NWC Events Assistant supports the Diabetes Program Manager by coordinating 3 Nations Wellness Center activities that keep community members engaged, informed, and connected. This role exists to ensure outreach events and exercise programming are organized, well-run, and responsive to community needs.
Key responsibilities include:
Plan, schedule, and oversee community outreach events and 3NWC exercise classes Coordinate logistics (space, supplies, set-up/tear-down) and communicate details to participants Serve as a point of contact for the RSTHC-based Diabetes Program and related inquiries Provide administrative and program support for additional 3 Nations Wellness needs as assigned Required qualifications/skills: Strong organization, follow-through, and customer-focused communication Ability to work onsite at 1715 Kuenzli Street Schedule flexibility for evenings (up to 8:00 pm) and Saturdays as needed If you're ready to help deliver consistent, well-coordinated wellness programming, apply today. A Typical Shift You start onsite by checking the calendar, confirming locations, and touching base with the Diabetes Program Manager on priorities for the week. As the day moves, you're fielding participant questions, making quick updates when details change, and ensuring materials are ready before people arrive. Some days center on exercise classes; others are focused on preparing for a larger community event-double-checking timing, coordinating with partners, and keeping everyone informed. Because programming happens when the community can attend, your schedule may extend into the evening (up to 8:00 pm), and occasional Saturdays may be part of event support. You wrap up by documenting what was completed and teeing up next steps so the next activity runs smoothly.
