Description:
Welcome to Windham Mountain Club!
Work Location:
In-person role based in Windham, NY.
Pay:
18 to 19 per hour based on experience
Seasonal Position:
This role is available for the winter season. Full Time and Part Time Positions available! Start dates are weather dependent. Perks (Perks may change at any time.) Scheduling Expectations:
Peak times include weekends, early mornings, and holidays. Weekend availability is required.
Conditions:
Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including rain, sleet, snow, hail, wind, and cold temperatures.
Overview of Position:
Competitive Programs Event Team Members support the planning and execution of competitive events throughout the season. This role works closely with families, coaches, and multiple resort departments to ensure events run smoothly while upholding Windham Mountain Club's Culture of Excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and communicate event information to athletes, families, and staff Support event operations, setup, and breakdown Assist with home races and competitive events Work with multiple departments to manage schedules, registrations, and guest flow Promote on-mountain safety and follow all Ski & Ride School policies Deliver exceptional guest service Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must be at least 14 years old Intermediate skiing or snowboarding ability required Previous racing or freestyle experience preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work effectively with athletes, families, guests, and coworkers Knowledge of ski resort operations preferred
Physical Requirements:
Lift and carry up to 50 pounds Safely ski or ride on green and blue terrain for extended periods Work outdoors in varying winter conditions Navigate uneven, snow- and ice-covered terrain Bend, kneel, stoop, reach, push, and pull as needed Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written formats
