Job Description

The Visit and Event Coordinator plans, develops, coordinates and executes a wide variety of in-person campus visit experiences, virtual programs and recruitment events for prospective freshmen, transfer, graduate and CCP students, families, school counselors, school partners, school groups and other visitors. This role is responsible for managing the logistical details that create a welcoming, organized and memorable guest experience, while collaborating with campus partners to ensure successful execution of personalized/special visits, group visits, daily visits and larger events in person and online. The coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for a large portfolio of events annually, balancing hospitality, event logistics and relationship management to support enrollment goals. The position also supervises student employees who assist in delivering exceptional customer service throughout the visitor experience. Plan, develop, coordinate and execute a variety of campus visit programs and recruitment events. Coordinate event logistics, schedules, space reservations, staffing, catering, transportation and other operational details to ensure seamless visitor experiences, as needed. Collaborate with academic colleges, campus departments, admissions colleagues and external partners to develop event programming, coordinate day-of staffing and ensure top-tier guest hospitality. Serve as a host for visitors and guests, ensuring a welcoming, professional and customer-focused experience from arrival through departure. Supervise, train and schedule student employees who support visitor hospitality and event execution. Present admissions and university information to prospective students, families, school groups and other audiences, as needed. Maintain registration systems, reports and documentation to support efficient planning and execution. Communicate with prospective students, families and campus partners regarding visit details, schedules and event information. Assist with promotional and recruitment communications related to campus visits and events, as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
The following Degree is required:
Bachelor's Degree The following Experience is required: 2 years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas: Event planning or event coordination Hospitality or customer service Higher education, admissions or student services Project or program coordination Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and execute multiple events simultaneously while managing competing priorities. Strong customer service and hospitality skills, with a commitment to creating an exceptional visitor experience. Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with a wide variety of campus partners and stakeholders. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to supervise, train and motivate student employees. Ability to solve problems, adapt to changing priorities and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while exercising initiative and independent judgment.
