Alumni Center Events Worker Reports To:
Manager of Alumni Center Responsibilities Hours can range from 10 - 15 hours per week Set up and tear down of all events Weekdays, weeknights, and/or weekends Set-up audio-visual equipment, tables, chairs, linens, stage, etc. Place signs around building and parking lot Must be able to transport, lift and set up equipment up to 100 lbs. Vacuum/quality check of Click Hall after each event Provide additional set up upon client request: plates, silverware, glasses, vases, charger plates, etc. Provide support and assistance for events Typically, after hour events (after 5:00pm) and weekend events Can include events during the day when coordinator and director are not available Includes A/V support for customers Assist caterers as needed during events (including check in and check out) Provide premier customer service to clients and vendors During events and set up/tear down Be proactive to fulfill the needs of each client Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, caterers and others associated with events Attend weekly Alumni Center staff meetings Perform other duties as assigned Additional Responsibilities Assist caterers and custodial staff with trash Clean/organize Alumni Center Service Halls (Floors 1 and 2) Assist with semi-annual Alumni Association Surplus collection and Surplus closet organization Quarterly inventory check for catering supplies Assist with light bulb replacement when requested by Facilities Manager Assist with Christmas decoration before Christmas break Take Alumni Association vehicle to car wash and oil change if needed Opportunities for extra hours by helping with Grandparent University and other events. Crosstrain to assist with additional jobs (front desk coverage, Alumni Association projects) Deliver/pick up Alumni Center linens from dry cleaners
