Job Description
Position Overview We are seeking an experienced, reliable Event Lead to oversee and execute events from setup through breakdown. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, can manage moving parts with calm authority, and takes pride in creating seamless, welcoming experiences for guests. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strategic oversight and active participation on the ground. We're looking for someone who takes initiative and naturally stays a step ahead. You notice what needs to be done, step in where needed, and help keep everything running smoothly. You bring a calm, steady presence, work well with others, and care about the details that make each event feel thoughtful and well-executed. Key Responsibilities Serve as the on-site Event Lead for events, ensuring smooth execution from start to finish Coordinate event setup and breakdown, including room configuration, décor, and supplies Supervise event staff and volunteers, delegating tasks and maintaining workflow Act as the main point of contact during events for staff, vendors, and leadership Troubleshoot issues in real time with professionalism and discretion Ensure adherence to timelines, run-of-show, and organizational standards Maintain a high level of hospitality and guest experience throughout the event Oversee inventory, supplies, and post-event reset of spaces Qualifications (Required) Prior experience leading or managing events (hospitality, nonprofit, catering, or similar) Strong organizational and multitasking skills in high-volume settings Proven ability to lead teams and give clear direction Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt quickly Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership Preferred Qualifications Experience in nonprofit or religious/community-based settings Familiarity with large group events, dinners, or holiday programming Basic knowledge of event logistics, vendor coordination, or facilities management Physical & Scheduling Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and lift (up to ~30 lbs) during events Availability for evenings, weekends, and peak holiday seasons Flexibility to work varying hours based on event needs
