Position Summary Information Job Description Summary:
Students in the University Career Center will have the opportunity to develop their interpersonal and professional development skills while contributing to the UCC's mission. Interns will gain valuable experience as they assist with the coordination and execution of UCC events and have direct exposure to employers recruiting at Villanova. Events are normally in person but occasionally could be virtual.
Responsibilities:
Assist in event management of any kind including, but not limited to: Set up event according to Career Center guidelines (this may involve picking materials up from Career Center and helping guests set up in room technology) Greet employers, presenters, guests of the UCC Check-in employer and student attendees Occasional introduction of employers/guests at the start of the event Collect the contact details of the presenters and deliver back to the Career Center Remain for the duration of the event to troubleshoot and facilitate Q&A (as needed) Clean up after the event (this may involve returning materials to the Career Center and helping dispose of leftover catering) Schedule time to meet with Career Center office staff prior to an event to discuss details
Requirements:
Solid interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Attention to detail Flexibility and the ability to troubleshoot Must work at least 5 events per semester Events more often evenings with occasional morning and afternoon hours as needed (student can sign up based on their availability)
