Position Purpose The Academic and Recruiting Events Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of facultyfacing events, including research seminars, conferences, and recruiting activities. Primary responsibilities include managing the operational processes, systems, communications, and stakeholder relationships that ensure exceptional experiences for visiting scholars and faculty candidates while supporting Tuck's teaching and research mission. Provides reception and coordination of guest services for the Deans' Office and Tuck School. Description The Tuck School's Academic Operations team manages the systems, processes, and services that enable our worldclass faculty to excel in teaching and research. We are seeking an Academic and Recruiting Events Manager to lead the logistical planning and execution of Tuck's research seminars, recruiting visits, and academic conferences, supporting the delivery of more than 125 facultyfocused events annually. This highly collaborative role serves as a key point of coordination among faculty, visiting scholars, candidates, and administrative partners across the institution. Success in this position requires exceptional organizational skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering outstanding service in a fastpaced academic environment. Required Qualifications Education and Yrs Exp Associates plus 3 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications Skills, Knowledge and Abilities 3 years related work experience and skill successfully managing complex programs, events, projects, and highstakes administrative operations within higher education, a top professional services firm, or other preeminent organization, delivering a high level of customer service.
Knowledge of business operations and communications gained through a bachelor's degree in management or a related field of study, or a combination of a liberal arts education and relevant work experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience and skill successfully managing projects involving coworkers without formal supervisory authority; ability to work effectively with numerous stakeholders and to build and maintain professional relationships with colleagues, vendors, and visitors.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and experience utilizing enterprise systems, database platforms, event management tools, or applicant tracking systems. Ability and curiosity to learn and leverage emerging digital technologies to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
Demonstrated ability to lead multiple concurrent projects with competing deadlines with exceptional organizational skills, project management and planning skills, and a keen attention to detail.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build credibility and effective working relationships with senior leaders, faculty, candidates, visitors, and administrative partners.
High degree of discretion in handling confidential materials.
Able to support, contribute to, and strengthen a vibrant, culturally diverse, and inclusive learning community of students, alumni, faculty, and fellow professionals.
Able to anticipate, deliver on, and exceed the expectations of faculty and professional staff colleagues.
Able to introduce and drive innovation in ways small and large.
Ability to be available on occasion for weekend or evening events
