West Dover, Vermont Full-Time Salary:
$60,000-$80,000 per year + Event Commissions + Benefits About Farm Road Farm Road Estate and Farm Road Riverside are premier wedding, corporate event, hospitality, and lodging destinations located on more than 40 beautiful acres in West Dover, Vermont. Our family-owned and growing hospitality business features multiple event venues, inns and lodging accommodations, restaurants, and extensive outdoor spaces surrounded by the natural beauty of Southern Vermont. As our events business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced, energetic, and highly organized Corporate & Special Events Associate to join and support our Events Team. This position reports directly to the Event Director and Ownership Team and will play an important role in both executing existing events and developing new corporate and special-event business.
Start Date:
Flexible, with preference given to candidates who can join our team as soon as possible. Position Overview The Corporate & Special Events Associate will assist with the planning, coordination, sales, and execution of weddings, corporate retreats, social events, private celebrations, and other special events across Farm Road's properties. This is a hands-on hospitality position. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable communicating with clients, developing new business, organizing detailed event logistics, and being physically present on event days to ensure an exceptional guest experience. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their events, communicates professionally, stays highly organized, and thrives in a fast-moving hospitality environment. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Plan, coordinate, and execute corporate, wedding, social, and special events Serve as an on-site event coordinator and client point of contact on scheduled event days Develop event timelines, schedules, floor plans, logistics, and operational details Communicate professionally and consistently with clients by email, phone, Zoom, and other approved communication platforms Coordinate event details with Farm Road's culinary, food & beverage, lodging, front desk, facilities, and management teams Maintain accurate event information within Company-approved CRM, booking, calendar, and event-management systems Conduct client meetings, property tours, planning sessions, and event walkthroughs Build and maintain strong relationships with current and former clients Assist with corporate retreat and special-event sales Prospect for and develop new corporate and event business Follow up with prospective clients and incoming leads Help identify opportunities to grow corporate retreats, private events, and group business Ensure event expectations and contractual commitments are communicated clearly to the appropriate departments Represent Farm Road professionally throughout the sales, planning, and execution process Assist the Event Director and Ownership Team with additional event-related responsibilities as needed This is a full-time position based in West Dover, Vermont. The weekly schedule will be coordinated with the Event Director and Ownership Team based on events and business needs. Because hospitality and events are inherently schedule-driven, flexibility is an important part of this position. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience in event planning, venue management, hospitality, corporate events, weddings, catering, hotel operations, or a related field Strong organizational and project-management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple events, clients, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously Strong attention to detail Professional and polished client-facing communication Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced event environment Strong follow-through and personal accountability Comfort working both independently and collaboratively Experience using CRM, event-management, scheduling, or hospitality software Sales or business-development experience is highly desirable Corporate retreat or corporate-event sales experience is a plus Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends when required by the event schedule Reliable transportation and the ability to work on-site in West Dover, Vermont Benefits Full-time employees are eligible to participate in Farm Road's employee benefits programs, subject to applicable eligibility requirements and plan terms.
