An Event Planner coordinates promotional sales events, professional meetings and family events. Works with clients, develops event plans and budgets, finds appropriate sites, contracts for services and supplies, coordinates with on-site staff, oversees finances and assists during an event.
Event Planning + Content Coordinator Part-Time | 10-20 Hours/Week | $25-$35/hour DOE | Hybrid/Remote + Colorado Events Want to build a career in weddings and events — and actually DO the things, not spend a year alphabetizing a supply closet? Sweetly Paired is looking for a smart, creative, organized human to join our event team. This is an ideal role for an aspiring wedding planner or event professional who wants hands-on experience in weddings, social media, event production, catering, and the behind-the-scenes business of making beautiful events happen. You'll work directly with our planning and leadership team, assisting with real Colorado (and sometimes international!) weddings and events while learning the systems, logistics, communication, and creative work that happen long before the guests arrive. This is not an internship. It's a paid, part-time position with room to learn, take ownership, and grow into larger event-management responsibilities.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Assist at Weddings & Events Work alongside our planners on wedding days — setup, vendor coordination, timeline management, ceremony details, guest needs, décor, troubleshooting, and all the tiny moving pieces that make an event feel effortless. Create & Manage Social Content Help turn our ridiculously pretty weddings into content! Capture behind-the-scenes moments, organize professional galleries, create posts and reels, write captions, schedule content, and help tell the stories of our events online. Be Our Behind-the-Scenes Right Hand Support our lead planners with emails, client communication, documents, research, scheduling, proposals, organization, and the assorted administrative things that keep an event company moving. Grow Into Event Management Once trained, you'll have opportunities to assist with — and eventually manage — select Seasoned catering events. That means learning another entire side of the event world: staffing, timelines, rentals, culinary coordination, venue logistics, and client management.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You don't need 10 years of experience. You do need initiative. We're looking for someone who is organized, tech-comfortable, creative, reliable, and genuinely excited about events. You should be the kind of person who notices what needs to happen and thinks, "I can take care of that." Canva and social media skills are required. Strong writing and computer skills matter. You need to be comfortable communicating professionally with clients and vendors, able to work independently once trained, and willing to jump into the decidedly unglamorous parts of glamorous events when necessary. Because weddings don't particularly care about normal business hours, weekend availability is required for scheduled events. Oh, and Love is Love. This is a SAFE space for all.
THE SCHEDULE
Approximately 10-20+ hours per week, with flexibility depending on the season. This role could turn into a full time salary role with benefits for the right person! After training, much of the administrative and social media work can be done remotely and flexibly. Weddings and events are, obviously, in person at venues throughout Colorado.
Pay:
$25-$35/hour
DOE WHY THIS JOB IS COOL
You'll get exposure to far more than one tiny piece of the industry. One week you might be helping coordinate a mountain wedding. The next you're turning professional wedding photos into social content. Then you're building timelines from your laptop, helping solve an event puzzle, or learning how a catering team executes dinner for 150 people. You'll learn planning + design + logistics + catering + client management + content + actual event execution. For someone who wants to become a planner, producer, venue manager, catering manager, or event-industry professional, that's a pretty fantastic education — and we're paying you to get it. We work hard, laugh a lot, solve weird problems, make beautiful things happen, and believe strongly that good events are built by good humans. If you're looking at the event industry thinking, "I want in," we'd love to meet you.
