Position Overview Narragansett Brewing Company is seeking a part-time Private Event Coordinator to support the planning, communication, and execution of private events at our Providence waterfront taproom. This role is central to making sure every private event runs smoothly — from the details we hand off to our staff, to the experience our guests walk away with. This is a communication-first, execution-driven role focused on: Coordinating private event logistics and maintaining clear, proactive communication with internal teams Translating event details into organized, easy-to-follow briefings for taproom and management staff Supporting the on-site execution of private events Ensuring a seamless, guest-focused experience from setup to close The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable keeping multiple moving pieces in sync — someone who takes pride in the details and knows that great events start with great communication. Key Responsibilities Event Communication & Staff Handoffs Manage Private Event leads Handle all Private Event planning and communication with Private Event customers Prepare and distribute clear, organized event briefs for taproom staff and management in advance of each private event Communicate event timelines, guest counts, special requests, setup needs, and operational requirements to relevant team members Maintain a running private event calendar and ensure all stakeholders are informed of upcoming bookings Serve as the internal point of contact for event-related questions leading up to and during execution Follow up after events to confirm any open items are resolved and notes are documented Event Execution & On-Site Support Assist with the on-site setup and execution of private events Ensure the venue, signage, and guest experience elements are in place and aligned with event plans Support the day-of run-of-show and coordinate with staff to keep events on schedule Identify and resolve issues quickly, escalating to management when needed Maintain high standards for hospitality, ambiance, and brand consistency throughout each event Logistics & Coordination Organize and track private event details including setup logistics, vendor coordination, and equipment needs Respond to inbound private event inquiries in a timely and professional manner and route them to the appropriate team member Assist with post-event recaps and documentation to support continuous improvement Coordinate with taproom and management teams to ensure events are properly resourced and communicated Qualifications Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously Clear, proactive communicator — written and verbal — with experience briefing or coordinating with teams Comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality or events environment Reliable and self-directed; able to take ownership of tasks without heavy oversight Professional presence and a genuine passion for hospitality and community Requirements 1+ year of experience in private event coordination, hospitality, or a related field preferred FOH or taproom experience a plus Experience with TripleSeat or similar event management software a plus Flexible availability including nights and weekends Ability to represent Narragansett Brewing Company with energy and professionalism Education High school diploma or equivalent required Relevant college coursework or degree preferred Compensation & Details $26.00/hour | Part-Time | 15-25
