Part-Time Mail Room/ Event Assistant Job Summary:
The Part-Time Mail Room/ Event Assistant is responsible for supporting daily mail room operations and assisting with the setup, breakdown, and coordination of meetings and special events. This physical role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while providing outstanding customer service.Key Responsibilities:
Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages in a timely manner. Prepare outgoing mail, shipments, and courier deliveries. Maintain an organized and efficient mail room. Track and log incoming and outgoing deliveries. Set up meeting rooms for conferences, training sessions, and special events according to event requirements. Arrange tables, chairs, audiovisual equipment, signage, and other event materials. Break down and restore meeting and event spaces after use. Assist with inventory and storage of office and event supplies. Respond promptly to staff requests related to mail services and event setup. Ensure meeting rooms and common areas remain clean, organized, and ready for use. Follow workplace safety procedures and assist with other administrative or facilities-related duties as assigned.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in mail room, facilities, customer service, or event setup is a plus, but not necessary. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move equipment safely. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic computer skills and familiarity with office equipment. Reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling.Schedule:
Part-time (approximately 20 hours per week, based on organizational needs). Some early morning, evening, or occasional weekend hours may be required to support events.
