Job Description
Great community events don't happen by accident - they take an organized team, an engaging message, and people who know how to make others feel welcome. Ethereal, Inc. specializes in event-based marketing, helping nonprofit organizations strengthen brand awareness, connect with local communities, and generate support for meaningful causes. As a full-time Event Assistant, you'll work in person at community pop-ups and promotional locations throughout the Knoxville area. You'll help prepare event spaces, represent each nonprofit brand, speak with attendees about current initiatives, and support fundraising efforts while gaining practical experience in events and community engagement. Responsibilities of the Event Assistant Help prepare event displays, informational materials, and brand resources before each campaign begins. Welcome attendees and create an approachable introduction to the nonprofit organization being represented. Learn campaign goals and key brand messages so you can confidently explain each organization's mission. Start conversations about current initiatives and help interested community members learn how they can get involved. Support fundraising efforts by answering questions, communicating the impact of donations, and assisting with contributions. Work alongside other Event Assistant team members to keep event areas organized, engaging, and consistent with brand standards. Qualifications of the Event Assistant Outgoing, dependable, and comfortable interacting with new people. Organized and willing to help with different parts of the event experience. Strong communication skills and an interest in representing a brand professionally. Able to stay engaged in active community and promotional environments. Customer service, restaurants, hospitality, events, marketing, fundraising, or brand promotion experience is helpful but not required. Entry-level friendly and interested in learning more about nonprofit campaigns and community outreach.
