Events Coordinator- Full-Time Job Description We are looking for a receptionist to manage our front desk and to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. As a receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our church. The duties include offering administrative support across the organization, welcoming guests and greet visitors. You will also coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls. Pleasantly greet and welcome visitors. Assist visitors with sign-in process when meeting with administration. Answering, screening and forwarding incoming calls. Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries to appropriate recipients Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk. Ensure receptionist area is clean and presentable with all necessary supplies. Administrative skills with Word, excel, PowerPoint and label creation. Stuff/label envelopes for large mail-outs. Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing Other duties as assigned. Requirements and Skills Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers) Professional attitude and appearance Solid written and verbal communication skills Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise Excellent organizational skills Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks Customer service attitude High school degree Ideal candidate must be reliable and flexible as the operation of the church is dependent of this role. The ability to pivot is critical in the role as church activities fluctuate. The required hours are Mon- Thursday evening 9:00 am - 5:00 pm or until all activities end. In addition to working a minimum of 2 Saturdays and 2 Sundays a month with varying work hours.
