Job Description
Texas Keeper is a small cidery in Far South Austin, Texas. We bring a winemaking approach to creating ciders that reflect the quality of good fruit. We are located on 20 acres of old ranchland with a Taproom and small kitchen next door to the cellar that's open on the weekends. Weekdays are spent in production, with 3-4 vintage periods per year. Each year we produce 12-18 unique ciders that reflect that year s growing season and time spent aging in barrel.
We are looking for a motivated person who enjoys talking with customers to help educate our guests about cider and wine and to be part of our small taproom team. This person will report to our Taproom Coordinator. Job duties include helping to run out taproom bar and working in our small kitchen creating cheese and charcuterie boards. Possible work also included filling in at Farm Markets.
Positions here are low-stress but high-standards, ideal for a person who wants to be part of a supportive, small team surrounded by lovely guests and serene surroundings. Farmers market days require self-motivation and trustworthiness.
This is a part time position (8 hours - depending on candidate) with room to grow (in # hours, responsibility and remuneration). The rate of growth depends on the individual's own pace and desire to excel. To start we offer $7.25 hourly + tips in the taproom, with a "slow day pay" of $18 minimum. Cider discounts plus other fun perks included for all staff!
