Riverbend recently completed a $2 million clubhouse renovation, creating vibrant new gathering spaces that reflect the Club's commitment to delivering an outstanding member experience. This investment has positioned the Club for an exciting new chapter, and we are seeking an energetic, relationship-driven leader to help maximize the opportunities our new spaces provide. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Director of Events & Member Engagement is responsible for creating exceptional experiences that foster community, strengthen member connections, and make Riverbend the social hub for our membership. This leader will oversee the Club's calendar of member programming while managing private events that contribute to the Club's financial success. Position Summary This is a highly visible leadership position for someone who thrives on building relationships, creating memorable experiences, and bringing people together. The Director will work collaboratively across all departments to develop innovative programming, oversee flawless event execution, and enhance the overall member experience. Primary ResponsibilitiesMember Engagement Develop and execute a dynamic annual calendar of member events for all demographics, including families, couples, young professionals, golfers, racquet players, and seniors. Create innovative programming that increases member participation, satisfaction, and sense of community. Partner with department leaders to integrate golf, racquet sports, aquatics, dining, and fitness into engaging Club-wide experiences. Gather member feedback and identify opportunities to continuously enhance programming. Private Events Oversee all private events, including weddings, receptions, corporate meetings, celebrations, and member functions. Guide clients and members through the planning process from initial inquiry through event execution. Prepare banquet event orders (BEOs), event timelines, room layouts, and detailed execution plans. Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage to deliver seamless events and exceptional hospitality. Grow banquet and private event revenue while maintaining outstanding service standards. Leadership & Communication Collaborate closely with the General Manager and senior leadership team to align programming with the Club's strategic vision. Coordinate event marketing through newsletters, email communications, social media, and the Club website. Monitor event budgets, attendance, financial performance, and member satisfaction metrics. Foster a welcoming, service-oriented culture that reflects Riverbend's commitment to excellence. Ideal Candidate The successful candidate is creative, organized, energetic, and passionate about hospitality. They are equally comfortable planning a holiday gala, organizing a family pool event, hosting a wine dinner, or welcoming a new member at their first Club social.
Preferred qualifications include:
3-7 years of experience in private clubs, luxury hospitality, resorts, hotels, or event management. Demonstrated success creating engaging member programming and executing exceptional events. Outstanding organizational and project management skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities. Strong marketing and promotional instincts. Experience managing budgets and multiple events simultaneously. Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as dictated by the Club's event calendar.
Pay:
$52,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
