None Job Summary The Event Assistant will assist event staff in a variety of scheduled events as well as support daily operations. Roles & Responsibilities Fulfills reservation requests, discusses policies with renters, and files all documents associated with rentals. Processes admission transactions and other purchase transactions. Assists with city organized events; responsible for event setup/takedown and cleaning, including but not limited to chairs, tables, trash, bathrooms, ensuring cleanliness of grounds, and other event-specific requirements. Answers phone, in-person, and email inquiries made by the public; provides answers and/or guidance to inquiries in a professional manner. Provides administrative support to the department and cross-trains at the Parks and Recreation main office. All management decisions will go to the Events Supervisor/Manager. Other related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Cash handling experience. Regular, reliable, and punctual levels of attendance are essential job functions and expectations of this position. Physical Requirements Must be able to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time. Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, twist, or crouch as necessary when performing job duties. Is required to be able to carry, balance, lift, push, pull, or reach supplies and/or equipment weighing up to 30 pounds. Hearing and vision must be satisfactory to the degree that duties may be performed effectively and safely. Environmental Conditions Work is performed both indoors and outdoors. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent.Closing Date/Time:
