Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Grant and Special Event Coordinator to join our team. This position is funded through the AmeriCorps Vista Program and will require additional service projects organized by Vista. Responsibilities Develop, write, and submit compelling grant proposals to secure funding from government agencies, foundations, and other sources. Manage the entire grant lifecycle, including research, application submission, reporting, and compliance monitoring. Coordinate and execute special events that raise awareness, foster community relationships, and support organizational goals. Maintain accurate records of grants, contracts, and fundraising activities using databases such as Raiser's Edge or similar systems. Conduct research on potential funding opportunities and develop strategic plans for grant funding initiatives. Collaborate with program staff to develop persuasive content for proposals, reports, and promotional materials. Oversee contract management processes ensuring all agreements are properly drafted, reviewed, and executed in accordance with organizational policies. Requirements Proven experience in nonprofit foundation work, community organization support, or related fields with a strong understanding of grant funding processes. Demonstrated expertise in proposal writing, technical writing, editing, and persuasive communication. Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple deadlines efficiently. Knowledge of grant management software tools and experience with grant submission procedures. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in financial report writing, budgeting, and contract documentation. Background in research related to grant funding opportunities and nonprofit program development is highly desirable.
